david-mellingWhat are you most looking forward to at EAFOL16?

Lovely weather (!), new experiences and the chance to meet authors I admire.

Why do you think literary festivals are important?

Festivals offer a unique opportunity for readers to meet authors, to engage in reading and to hopefully inspire.

Can you share one line from a book or poem that has stayed with you for the longest time?

‘Stood thronging the faint moonbeams on the dark stair’

The Listeners by Walter De La Mare

You have to make a book tower of at least 5 books for your nightstand. Which ones would you choose?

The Goldfinch – Donna Tart

The American – Martin Booth

The Dominium – C J Sansom

Ten Million Aliens – Simon Barnes

Weekend Wodehouse – P G Wodehouse

In your opinion, what does 2016 hold for the world of literature?

Access to an increasingly wide and diverse range of authors across a wider range of platforms and reading formats. Although, I still prefer the humble book!
